SEMI VS CAR, MINOR INJURIES
On August 20, 2021 at 8:15 A.M., the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle, injury crash, on Hwy 18 at Cty P, in Patch Grove Township. It was determined that Christopher Wilkinson, 26 of Prairie Du Chien, was driving a 2009 Kenworth semi, east on Hwy 18, when a 2017 Buick which was being driven by Jane Trumm, age 84 of Glen Haven was stopped at the stop sign on Cty P at Hwy 18. Trumm states she saw the turn signal on the semi, but it was the hazard lights on the semi as it was driving up the Patch Grove hill. Trumm turned west onto Hwy 18, in front of the path of the semi. The semi struck the driver's side of the Trumm vehicle. The Trumm vehicle came to rest in the opposite lane of traffic and the semi ended up in the north ditch.
Mrs. Trumm was transported to the Grant Regional Health Center for evaluation. A passenger in the semi, Beth Fitzl of Iowa, was evaluated at the scene by EMS and released.
B&M's and Milo's Towing assisted at the scene. The Trumm vehicle was a total loss and the semi received minor front end damage. Assisting the Sheriff's Office at the scene was the Wisconsin State Patrol, West Grant EMS, and Bloomington Fire Department.
