Three people injured in two-vehicle accident in Delaware County. Information released on six separate arrest incidents.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Delaware County. The accident occurred on February 20th at 6:06am. 35-year old Daouda Balde of Iowa City was operating a 2022 Toyota Camry southbound on Highway 13. Balde failed to maintain control, the vehicle crossed the center line and hit head-on with a 2025 Honda CRV operated by 71-year old Dale Arthur Ries of New Vienna. Balde and Ries , along with a passenger in the Reis vehicle, 71-year old Therese Karen Ries of New Vienna were taken to Regoinal Medical Center in Manchester for treatment of injuries. Damage totaled 25-thousand and Balde was charged with failure to maintain control.
