Two Fayette County Accident Reports

On 7/20/2026 at approximately 6:11 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call of a car accident on Kornhill Rd. During the investigation, it was determined that 18 year old Mylee Bockenstedt of Greeley, IA lost control of the vehicle, struck a ditch, and went into a cornfield. Mylee received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Arlington Ambulance, Arlington Fire Department, Fayette Ambulance, and Birchard Fab & Repair for the tow. The accident remains under investigation.

On 07/21/2026 at approximately 5:39 AM the  Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle accident on Golden Rd.  Upon Deputy Arrival it was learned a male juvenile entered the south ditch causing the vehicle to roll.  No injuries were reported and Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Elgin Fire and Torkelson Motors.  The accident remains under investigation.
