(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa is getting more than two-point-three million dollars to support rural communities. The money comes from the US Department of Agriculture's Rural Development program. Most of the money is going to Winneshiek County to expand the medical center in Decorah [[ deh-CORE-uhh ]]. The rest of the money will go to Appanoose, Cass, Clay, and Webster Counties for projects like water distribution system improvement and warning system installation.
