Wadena Accident

On 5/5/23 at 3:21 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of E 5th and N Mill in Wadena. An investigation determined that Rick Robert Trebon age 66 from Wadena was operating a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Trebon had stopped at a stop sign and proceeded into the intersection. Trebon failed to see a 1995 Ford F150 southbound on N Mill St. Both vehicles collided in the intersection. The Cobalt was considered a total loss. The F150 sustained an estimated $3500 damage. No one was injured. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Torkelson Motors from Elgin. The accident remains under investigation.
