Council Chambers, City Hall, December 1, 2025, at 6:00 P.M.
West Union City Council met December 1, 2025, at 6:00 P.M. in Council Chambers with Mayor Cameron Granger presiding. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Attendance Present: DeBack, Gumm, and Tope. Absent: McElree.
Approval of the Motion to approve the agenda as presented was made by DeBack, seconded by
Agenda Tope. All Aye. Carried.
Approval of Motion to approve the November 17, 2025, Regular Council Meeting minutes as
Minutes presented was made by Tope, seconded by DeBack. All Aye. Carried.
Approval of PPE#9 Motion to approve PPE#9 from Baker Enterprises, Inc., totaling $309,965.25 and
From Baker Linden Street Improvement Project was made by Gumm, seconded by DeBack.

Approval of Lift Motion to approve lift station repair to float back-up system by Jetco for
Station Repair by $6,864.00 was made by Gumm, seconded by Tope. All Aye. Carried.

Street Finance Report by DeBack. All Aye. Carried.

Approval of Annual Motion to approve Annual Urban Renewal Report FY2025 was made by Tope,
Urban Renewal Report seconded by DeBack. All Aye. Carried.
Approval of The Union Motion to approve The Union as the paper of record for the City of West Union
As the Paper of Record and as a forum for the publication of city legals for 2026 was made by Gumm,
For the City seconded by DeBack. All Aye. Carried.
Approval of Motion to approve Resolution 2026-11 The Adoption of Iowa Length of Service
Resolution 2026-11 Award Program (LOSAP) was made by DeBack, seconded by Gumm. All Aye.

Approval to Publish Motion to approve providing information regarding the vacant Council seat in
City Council Ward 2 Ward 2 via social media and The Union was made by Tope, seconded by
Vacancy DeBack. All Aye. Carried. Qualifying residents interested in the position must
contact City Hall by December 12th.
Comments and Two speed signs have been installed on N Pine St.
Discussion
Administrator Wallis is seeking volunteers for a committee to discuss dump site.
The oath of office will be administered on December 15th for incoming Mayor
Kent Halverson and Council Member Hunter McElree.
Next Council Next regular council meeting will be December 15, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in
Meeting Council Chambers.
Adjourn With no further business to bring before the Council, a motion was made by
Gumm, seconded by DeBack, to adjourn. All Aye. Carried.
