Incident Details: A Winneshiek County Deputy was northbound on State Highway 52 near 311th Street and observed a black motorcycle that appeared to be traveling at a high speed at 84 in a 55-mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated but the motorcycle fled from the deputy at high rates of speed.  A short time later, the Winneshiek County Deputy discontinued the pursuit due to safety concerns. Later, a Howard County Deputy located the motorcycle traveling on Pole Line Road and Highway 9. Howard County also attempted a traffic stop but Hasty continued to elude from law enforcement. Over the next couple hours deputies continued to look for the motorcycle. Howard County deputies located the motorcycle and subject at the Super 8 Motel in Cresco, Iowa. The investigation led to an arrest warrant for John Hasty as well as a search warrant.

John Hasty was arrested on D Felony Eluding & Reckless Driving and was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this case by the Howard County Sheriff’s Office.

Incident/Charge: Arrest warrant for 664A.7(5) - Violation Of No Contact/Protective Order Contempt 

Location: SERVED AT THE WINNESHIEK COUNTY COURTHOUSE AND TRANSPORTED TO THE  WINNESHIEK COUNTY JAIL.

Incident details: TRAVIS MCINTYRE was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail  on an arrest warrant for 664A.7(5) - Violation Of No Contact/Protective Order-Contempt.



Winneshiek County Authorities released information on a one-vehicle accident that occurred on May 11th on Middle Calmar Road. 42-year old Emily Grace Oyloe of Decorah was operarting a 2008 Subaru Forester. At approximately 2:48am on Saturday a deputy received a report from an individual stating that his vehicle was in the ditch. The vehicle was traveling eastbound near Townline Road and missed the turn and drove straight off the road. The next day, Oyloe spoked with autorities and stated she was not use to an automatic vehicle and lost control. No injuries reported, Oyloe was charged with failure to maintain control. Damage totaled three-thousand dollars.
