Two people received possible injuries after a two-vehicle accident that occurred near Dyersville on Monday Night. Deleware County Authorities report that on January 29th at 7:13pm, they received multiple 911 calls about a wrong way driver on Highway 20 from Dyersville that was westbound in the eastbound lanes. Authorities were then notified of an accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 20 and 300th Avenue. A black Chevy Equinox operated by 69-year old Denise Tinker of Elgin was traveling the wrong direction on Highway 20 in the eastbound lane. Tinker turned at the intersection but did not yield or was in the inside lane of the westbound lane. An SUV operated by 26-year old Bailey Douglas of Dyersville struck the front of the Tinker vehicle. The Tinker vehicle rolled backwards after being hit. The Douglas vehicle entered the north ditch. Tinker said she was unaware of where she was at or what had happened and was very confused. Douglas stated she saw the Tinker vehicle sitting in the roadway but did not see any headlights on. Both were taken transported by ambulance to Regional Medical Center in Manchester for treatment of possible injuries. Tinker was charged with driving on the Wrong Side of a Two-Way Highway and Failure to Yield Upon Entering a Through Highway.
