On June 30, 1963, Jean was united in marriage to James “Jim” Puffett in Dundee, Iowa. Three sons were born to this union, Jeffrey, Jerald, and Jason. The family resided in Dundee. Jean was a stay-at-home mom and housewife while the boys were young. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s / St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dundee.
