Decorah teen injured in two-vehicle accident and a Calmar man arrested on warrant
A Decorah teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. 18-year old Natalie Lerae Stevens of Decorah was injured. Authorities report that on May 14th at 6:50am, Stevens was operating a 2021 Subaru Legacy. Stevens was stopped at an intersection on Highway 52 and did not see a 2025 Ford Explorer that made a left hand turn from Pole Line Road . Monona Police release information on reported stabbing, one person deceased from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound
On May 13, 2026, at approximately 1937 hours, the Monona Police Department was dispatched to the 600 block of South Page Street in Monona for a reported stabbing. Monona PD arrived quickly and located an individual outside a residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. A tourniquet was applied, and the individual was quickly transported by Monona Ambulance to a nearby hospital. Marquette City Council accepts bid for First Street Water Main Project
The Marquette City Council accepted a bid of nearly 696-thousand dollars for the First Street Water Main Project. The only bid submitted was from Pirc Tobin Construction of Anamosa. The Council approved a bid for street maintenance work in a number of areas in the community at a cost of nearly 108-thousand dollars. That bid was awarded to Fahrner Construction of Wisconsin.
