Garnavillo Police arrest a Postville woman after suspended license stop
On January 12 th , 2026, at approximately 3:16 p.m., a Garnavillo police officer was on routine patrol in the city when they observed a vehicle with out of state plates that had been in front of them by happenstance pull into a local business after noticing the officer behind them. Delaware County Authorities release information on two accidents and two arrests
No injuries reported in a three-vehicle accident in Delaware County. The accident occurred on January 13th at 5:35pm. 19-year old Mason James Roling of Manchester was operating a 2015 Toyota Camry. Rolling was traveling southbound on Highway 13 and failed to see a vehicle stopped in traffic. Roling struck a 2017 Ford Escape operated by 31-year old Jennifer Marissa Martin of Ryan. Arlington man faces charges after weapons-related search
On 1-14-26, at approximately 10:50PM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office executed a weapons-related search warrant at 10736 cable Rd. Arlington, IA. During the search of the residence, numerous firearms and a variety of ammunition were found and seized. An Elkport woman has been found guilty on three charges in connection with a fatal accident in Clayton County. Susan J. Steve was found guilty of Homicide by Vehicle, Serious Injury by Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana. One-Vehicle Fatality Crash On January 13, 2026, at 2:54 PM, the Grant County Sheriff's Office received a call regarding a one-vehicle crash with injuries on Hwy 151, south of Hwy 11, in Jamestown Township. Car vs Farm Tractor On 1/13/26, at 5:20pm, the Grant County Sheriff's Office was notified of a car vs. farm tractor rollover crash, on Hwy 35/61, near Badgerland Auto, in Paris Township. The MFL MarMac School Board approved the hiring of Chet Bachman as High School Principal. Bachman currently serves as Elementary P.E. and Interventionist at MFL MarMac.
