The 2026 Summer Reading Program will be starting soon at the Garnavillo Public Library. This year's program is Plant a Seed - Read. Sign-up starts Tuesday, June 2nd. Programs will be held Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. from June 10th - July 22nd. The first program will be held on Wednesday, June 10 with presenter Phelps Farm.

FAYETTE, Iowa - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting a spring forestry field day on May 28 at Volga River State Recreation Area, 10225 Ivy Road, near Fayette, for Iowans looking to improve their forest wildlife habitat.
