Mediapolis advanced to the Class 2-A State Baseball Tourney with a hard-fought 2-0 win over MFL MarMac. Lance Ludens allowed just four hits, no runs, walked no one, and struck out nine in an impressive 7-inning performance. Kyler Crow hit a solo homerun in the fourth for the first run of the game. Mediapolis took advantage of two errors to push across the second run in the fourth. Braeden Oliver had two hits and drove in the other run. Parker Kuehl pitched six-innings for MFL MarMac. Kuehl allowed just five hits, one earned run, walked no one and struck out six. Jaxon Millage had two hits and Jacob Schellhorn and Ben Krambeer singled. Krambeer and Millage singled to start the seventh for MFL MarMac but Ludens worked out of trouble to close it out. MFL MarMac closes the season at 24 and 7. Mediapolis improves to 27 and 2. The Bulldogs will play Unity Christian in a first round State Tourney game on Tuesday, July 22^nd at 1:30pm.
