A recently released Prairie du Chien man faces a Felon in Possession and other charges after alledgedly pointing a gun at a victm

On Friday, November 14, 2025, at approximately 11:43pm the Prairie du Chien Police Department was called to the 200 block of West Blackhawk Avenue for a report of a male suspect who had pointed a gun at a victim.
Officers responded and met with a male victim that described another male suspect as being highly intoxicated. The victim stated that he attempted to help the suspect unlock his bike from a bench located on the 200 block of West Blackhawk Avenue when, the male suspect pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim. The victim was able to give a good description of the suspect.
Officers located the suspect inside of a bar located on the 200 block of East Blackhawk Avenue. When Officers spoke to the suspect, they were able to smell an odor of intoxicants coming from him. They were also able to locate a loaded handgun in his waistband. The suspect, identified as Tallion James Shutte age 26 of Prairie du Chien, was arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail. Charges are being requested for Disorderly Conduct, Felon in Possession of Firearm and Operate a Firearm or Going Armed While Intoxicated. Mr. Shutte is still being held in the Crawford County Jail on a Probation and Parole warrant. Mr. Shutte was recently released from the Wisconsin State Prison system on October 21, 2025.
