Aurora man on escape status from the West Union Residential Facility is apprehended

On January 27, 2026, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested 40-year-old Joshua Allen Chamberlain of Aurora after being placed on escape status from the West Union Residential Facility.  Buchanan County Sheriff's Office located him at a residence in Aurora, and then he was transferred to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held.
