Bloody Run Burn Walk
Friday, May 30th (6:30 PM – 8:00 PM)
Bloody Run County Park
Come and join the Clayton County Conservation Board for a guided hike exploring the effects of prescribed burning at Bloody Run County Park. Along the way we will discuss the timing, conditions, and frequency of fire at two different restoration sites and how the plant and animal communities have responded.
This hike will be great for landowners interested in prescribed burning, and nature enthusiasts interested in seeing unique flora and fauna in one of Clayton County’s finest natural areas.
Participants should come prepared for a fairly rugged hike including off-trail terrain; pants, sturdy shoes, water, bug repellent, and sunscreen recommended.
Bloody Run County Park is located approximately one mile west of Marquette, Iowa. Please call 563-245-1516 for more information or visit www.claytoncountyconservation.org.
