City of Clayton alerts residents of Scam Attempt

Dear Clayton Community,

The City of Clayton has been made aware of fraudulent emails being sent while impersonating Mayor Kaitlyn Kuehl-Berns and requesting gift cards.

These messages are not legitimate and did not come from the City.

Emails from the Mayor and City Hall will come from the following addresses:kaitlynkuehlberns@gmail.com (Mayor)cityofclayton@alpinecom.net (City Clerk)

The City will never request gift cards or urgent payments by email or text.
