Clayton County Conservation Invites Community to Celebrate Fall at Osborne Days on October 10th and 11th

Clayton County Conservation is inviting the community to celebrate fall, conservation, creativity, and the great outdoors at Osborne Days, a new fall festival taking place October 10–11, 2026, at Osborne Park.

Formerly known as Heritage Days, Osborne Days is a reimagined community event. The festival is designed to offer something for everyone, with hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, contests, outdoor recreation, conservation education, local makers, and family-friendly experiences throughout the weekend. You will see some of the old mixed with some new.

From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, visitors can explore a variety of activities and demonstrations focused on enjoying and learning about the outdoors. Planned experiences include scavenger hunts, hiking, education trailers, great pumpkin contest, decorated pumpkin contest, conservation and environmental presentations, hands-on workshops, and interactive booths. These activities will provide opportunities for visitors of all ages to participate, discover something new, and gain a greater appreciation for Clayton County’s natural resources.

Osborne Days will also feature a marketplace highlighting locally made and handmade goods. Shoppers can browse artisanal foods, crafts, artwork, home décor, and other unique creations from talented regional makers. The marketplace will showcase local craftsmanship and creativity while giving visitors an opportunity to support small businesses.

On top of that we will have a great selection of food & drink trucks to feed your appetites as you explore the park.

“We’re excited to introduce Osborne Days as a fresh take on a longtime fall tradition,” said Clayton County Conservation staff. “Our goal is to create a welcoming event where families, outdoor enthusiasts, and community members can spend the weekend exploring, learning, shopping, and enjoying the beauty of Osborne Park.”

Osborne Days is a free event held October 10–11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at Osborne Park 5 miles south of Elkader. Schedule of events will be posted on our website and social media pages.
