4-H Council Comes Together for Leadership & Team-Building Experience

On Sunday, September 20, members of the Clayton County 4-H Council gathered for an evening of connection, leadership, and fun during a county council retreat. The retreat provided an opportunity for council members to build relationships, strengthen leadership and communication skills, and prepare for the year ahead.

Youth explored what it means to serve as a 4-H ambassador while discussing the expectations and responsibilities that come with their leadership roles. Through a variety of hands-on activities, council members participated in both large- and small-group challenges designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

The evening wrapped up with goal setting, calendar planning, and idea sharing. Council members outlined their goals for the upcoming 4-H year, including becoming more involved in their communities through service activities and serving as positive role models for other youth.

The retreat reflected the 4-H mission of empowering youth to make the best better through leadership, citizenship, and hands-on learning. With new goals and ideas in place, Clayton County 4-H Council members are ready to take on the year ahead and make a positive difference in their communities.
