Crossing Rivers Health Partners with ImpactLife for Blood Services
Blood Drive Scheduled for May 28
Prairie du Chien, Wis. — Crossing Rivers Health recently announced that, effective March 1, 2026, ImpactLife Blood Center is now the exclusive provider of blood products and services for the organization’s patients.
ImpactLife is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit blood center established in 1974 that provides blood products and services to more than 120 hospitals and emergency medical services teams across Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. This includes health systems and EMS groups in Lancaster, Platteville, Dodgeville, Baraboo, Delton, Reedsburg, and Madison.
Blood transfusions remain an essential part of patient care, supporting a wide range of medical needs, including trauma and emergency care, surgical procedures, care for mothers and babies, and treatment for cancer and heart patients
“Blood donations play a vital role in patient care here at Crossing Rivers Health,” said Barb Welsch, Laboratory Director. “By partnering with ImpactLife, we’re strengthening our local blood supply and helping ensure that blood donated by our community members supports patients right here as well as patients at other nearby hospitals.”
Whether a long-time donor or a first-time donor, community members are encouraged to support the local blood supply by donating with ImpactLife. “All blood types are needed on an ongoing basis,” said Welsch. “The demand for blood is constant, and regular donations help ensure this lifesaving resource is available when patients need it most.”
Donors who have generously given blood through other donation services in the past are able to continue their milestone recognition, and all donors can receive additional donor rewards when they donate with ImpactLife.
The first ImpactLife blood drive hosted at Crossing Rivers Health is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026.
