On January 3rd , 2025, at approximately 8:50pm the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call regarding a disturbance between multiple individuals in the city of Maynard. Fayette County Deputies arrested Christopher Alan Cosgriff age 39 of Maynard. Cosgriff is being charged with disorderly conduct. Cosgriff was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held until his initial appearance and was later released.
On December 30th , 2024, at approximately 5:24 PM a Fayette County Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the city of Clermont. During the stop it was learned that the driver Billy Scott Bahls age 56 of Postville was Barred from driving. Bahls was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. A search warrant was then executed and Bahls received two more additional charges Possession of Controlled substance -Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bahls was held in the Fayette County Jail until his initial appearance and later released on bond. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the West Union Police Department K-9 Unit.
On January 3, 2025, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joel Longoria Jr., age 39 of Fayette, on a valid Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Driving While Barred charge (Aggravated Misdemeanor). Longoria was transported to the Fayette County Jail and is being held on a $2500 cash or surety bond. Longoria also awaits an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge.
