Spark the Celebration at the Stars & Stripes Firecracker 5K!

Guttenberg, Iowa — Lace up your sneakers and bring your patriotic spirit for the Stars and Stripes Firecracker 5K, taking place Saturday, July 5 at 9:00 a.m. along Guttenberg’s scenic river walk. This professionally timed race welcomes walkers and runners of all ages to kick off the town’s Fourth of July festivities with energy, community, and a little friendly competition.

The 5K will begin at the Veteran’s Memorial, guiding participants along the mighty Mississippi River. Registration and packet pickup begin at 8:00 a.m. Entry is just $25, and all proceeds go directly to support Guttenberg’s spectacular fireworks show.

Register online by June 23 to guarantee your Firecracker 5K t-shirt—included with your registration. Medals will be awarded in each age group, from 14 and under to 70 and over, and special prizes will go to the most patriotic getups—so break out your red, white, and blue!

Before the main event, bring your little ones for the Little Sparklers Fun Run, starting at 8:45 a.m. This fun, non-competitive dash is free to all participants and sure to delight.

Local businesses can sponsor the Firecracker 5K with levels ranging from $50 to $250. Your support helps power the event and ensures a fantastic fireworks display. Donate promo items for the Firecracker Favors Goody Bag—each registered runner will receive one!
