Holiday Lights Opens With the 2026 Walk Through Night”

The one-night only Holiday Lights Walk Through Night sponsored by DECO is back, scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, from 5-7:30 PM at Pulpit Rock Campground in Decorah, Iowa.  This is the only night of the Holiday Lights season when visitors are able to walk through the park instead of driving. Highlights of the night include photos with Santa, soups, cookies, Pokey Pete (weather permitting), local choirs, and a live Nativity scene. Freewill donations at the event benefit Helping Services for Youth & Families.

Pulpit Rock Road will be closed to all traffic starting at 4:00 pm, improving the overall safety of the event. Parking will be available as usual at the soccer field parking lot, but visitors can only access the parking lot off 5th Avenue. Free EARL buses will be available to assist with transportation to and from the entrance of the event (or visitors can walk in). In addition, guests can park on the south side of Pulpit Rock Campground (via Oneota Dr. off Hwy 52 to the Twin Springs Campground parking lot).

Although the event is held at the city campground, all proceeds go to Helping Services for Youth & Families. Established over 50 years ago, the agency serves eight counties with programs that include: domestic abuse advocacy, family education, substance use prevention and youth mentoring.
