July 6th Scores--Midland Softball wins pitchers duel with Clayton Ridge! Scores are posted!

Gabbie Franzen of Midland tossed a one-hitter and the Eagles surprised Clayton Ridge with a 1-0 Regional Opening win. Franzen walked three and struck out three. Emma Huston had two hits and drove in the lone run. Addie Coates led off with a bunt single and ended up scoring the only run. McKenna Doll and Milee Streets each had a double. Alyssa Cruise and Alex Coates had singles. Ava Vonderhaar had the lone Clayton Ridge hit. Karly Wille allowed just five hits, walked one and struck out three. Clayton Ridge closes the season 13 and 14. Midland improves to 5 and 25, they play Ed-Co at Colesburg on Wednesday night in a Regional Quarterfinal. KCTN will broadcast that game on Wednesday night.
