Mary Lynn Morrissey of Dundee

Mary Lynn Morrissey, 76, of Dundee, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. She was born on July 18, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Archie and Christine (Byrn) Snow. Mary was a 1968 graduate of North Linn High School and received her associate degree from Kirkwood Community College.

On May 12, 1979, Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Thomas Morrissey. Four children were born to this union. Mary worked at the Abbey Center in Marion for twenty plus years and in the dietary department at the Edgewood Convalescent Home. She enjoyed reading and cherished spending time with family.

Survivors include her children, Gary (Stacy) Snow of Chantilly, Virginia, Kristi Smith of Oelwein, and Jacob (Wyatt) Morrissey of Des Moines; grandchildren, Alisha, Tyler, Michelle, Gabbie, Baxter, Jackson, Reeghan, and Elliot; great-grandchildren, Xander, KJ, Hudson, and Madalyn; and siblings, Nellie Wilson of Dundee, Denny (Brenda) Snow of Clarence, Jeff Snow of Manchester, and Diane (Kenny) Eiben of Marion.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas in 2023; her daughter, Ellen “Ellie” Morrissey; brother, Vernon Snow; and brother-in-law, George Wilson.
