Minor Injuries Reported in Accident Involving Crawford County Dump Truck

Village of Lynxville, Wis. - On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 1:51 p.m., Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Communications Center received a report that a Crawford County Highway Department dump truck had overturned at the intersection of County Road F and State Highway 35.

A preliminary investigation determined that Joseph Huber, 31, was operating the dump truck westbound on County Road F toward State Highway 35 while hauling a load of gravel. As Huber descended the hill approaching State Highway 35, the truck experienced a mechanical issue, causing him to lose control. The truck overturned at the intersection and came to rest against a guardrail in the southbound lane of State Highway 35.

Huber and his passenger, David Harvat, 36, sustained minor injuries.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Seneca First Responders, Emplify Ambulance Service, Crawford County Highway Department, and Milo’s Towing Service.

The crash is being investigated by the Wisconsin State Patrol and remains under investigation.
