Monona City Council Approves Plan to Increase Garbage Rates

The Monona City Council will work on an ordinance to increase Garbage Rates. The updated ordinance will raise monthly rates by three-dollars a month and dumpster cost will rise by 10-percent.
The Council will also begin work on an ordinance dealing with Electric Bikes and Scooters. The Police Department will be creating a safety training day to work with operators on safety for those units.
The Council set October 7th as the for the Garbage/Appliance/Electronics Drop-off Date for the city.
The next Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8th due to Labor Day.
