Oelwein Police release information on three separate incidents

At 3:43pm on May 11, 2026, Oelwein Police arrested Jeremiah James Bennett, 45, of Maynard.  Bennett was arrested in the 1200 block of E Charles St on a Bremer County mittimus warrant for Failure to Appear to Serve Jail Sentence.

At 7:10pm on May 8th, 2026, Oelwein Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 7th Ave NE.  As a result, Tristen Cole Stewart, 30, of Oelwein, was charged with Driving While License Suspended.  Stewart was issued a citation and summons to court for the infraction.

At 11:45pm on May 8th, 2026, Oelwein Police arrested Desarae Lafaye Harris, 29, of Waterloo.  Harris was arrested on a charge of Violation of No Contact Order - Simple Misdemeanor, following an investigation into an incident that concluded in the 100 block of 5th Ave SE.
