One house lost, another one receives damage in early morning fire in Worthington

On October 26, 2026 at approximately 0114 hours, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office along with the Worthington Fire Department, Farley Fire Department and Dyersville Fire Department responded to 211 1^st St South in Worthington, in reference to a structure fire.  The residence was found fully engulfed.  The residence was declared a total loss estimated at $80,000.  An adjacent residence, 209 1^st St South, was also damaged in the fire.  Damage to this residence is estimated at $20,000.  No injuries were reported.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
