The Monona City Council makes an offer for the Police Chief position

The Monona City Council approved making an offer to a candidate for the position of Police Chief. The City is awaiting final word from the candidate. They are looking for a replacement for Austin Wille, who recently resigned to take the position as a Benton Coounty Conservation Officer.

The Council accepted the resignation of Police Officer Jacob Dougherty who has taken a position with the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Department. The city will be advertising to fill the vacancy.
