Third Arrest Made in Winneshiek County Rural Burglary Investigation
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate several rural burglaries that occurred in northern Winneshiek County.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, third subject, Amber Kreidermacher, 39, of Stewartville, Minnesota, was arrested in connection with the investigation.
Kreidermacher was arrested on September 23, 2026, and transported to the Olmsted County Jail. She subsequently waived extradition and was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail on September 26, 2026.
Kreidermacher has been charged with:
Theft in the 2nd Degree – Class D Felony
As the investigation has progressed, Evan Richardson and Nathan Gossman were previously arrested and charged in connection with this case. The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the burglaries and is following up on additional information and leads.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate several rural burglaries that have occurred in Winneshiek County. As a result of the ongoing investigation, Evan Richardson (40) of Canton, MN, has been arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
Richardson has been charged with:
Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree – Class D Felony
Two counts of Theft in the 2nd Degree – Class D Felony
Burglary in the 3rd Degree – Motor Vehicle – Aggravated Misdemeanor
On September 10, Richardson was arrested in Canton on a Winneshiek County warrant and taken to the Fillmore County Jail. On Thursday, September 11, Richardson waived extradition and was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail where he remains incarcerated.
The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office, continues to investigate the recent burglaries and is following up on additional leads and information.
Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to remain vigilant and take precautions to protect their property. Please lock vehicles, secure buildings and equipment, remove valuables from unattended vehicles, and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.

Previous Release on 9-2-2026The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating several rural burglaries that have occurred over the past several days in northern Winneshiek County. The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office filed felony charges on Nathan Gossman (41) of Canton, Minnesota after he stole a truck from a rural farm residence in Winneshiek County. On Tuesday, September 1, Gossman was arrested on the Winneshiek County warrant and taken to the Fillmore County Jail. On Wednesday, September 2, Gossman waived extradition and was transported to the Winneshiek County Jail where he remains incarcerated.
The case facts lead us to believe that Gossman was not acting alone. The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office along with the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office are actively pursuing the additional suspects and following up on all leads.
While the investigation continues, we want to remind our rural residents to take a few simple precautions:
Lock your vehicles and buildings.
Do not leave keys or valuables inside unattended vehicles.
Secure farm equipment and other property when possible.
Be aware of suspicious vehicles or activity around your property.
If you see something suspicious, report it to law enforcement.
If you see something that doesn’t look right, don’t hesitate to call. Your information could help prevent another burglary or assist with this investigation.
