Two face charges after a report of a vehicle in the ditch in Fayette County
On October 12, 2026n at approximately 10:41 PM Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 30th Street and F Avenue for report of a vehicle in the ditch. Upon investigation it was determined the vehicle in question had gone into the ditch and partially rolled over on October 11, 2026 at approximately 8:00 PM. When Deputies arrived there were several people attempting to pull the vehicle out of the ditch. Upon investigation it was determined 33 year old Nicole Leanne Burgos of Lamont was driving the vehicle when it went into the ditch and rolled. Burgos was summoned to court for charges including Driving While License Suspended, Driving Without SR22 Insurance, and Fail to Maintain Control. The vehicle Burgos was driving is estimated to have $5000 damage. Another person at the scene, 38 year old Troy Christopher Miller, was found to have a valid arrest warrant through Fayette County for Failure to Appear—Original Charge, Eluding. Miller was arrested and transported to the Fayette County Jail. He was also charged with Driving While Suspended for driving and different vehicle to the scene of the accident.
