Two People Killed in UTV-SUV Accident in Dubuque County

On August 8, 2026 at approximately 2121 hours, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Peosta Police Department, Cascade EMS, Dyersville Bi-County Ambulance, Farley Fire Department and EMS, Epworth Fire and EMS and Worthington Fire Department responded to the intersection of East Worthington Rd and Comer Rd for a car vs. UTV accident with multiple patients. Investigation revealed that Joshua Tack, 33, of Union, IA was operating the UTV when it entered into the roadway with E. Worthington Rd. The UTV was struck by an eastbound SUV. Tack was transported to Mercy One Dubuque where he died of his injuries. A passenger, Lane Pisarik (10 years old), of Cascade died on scene as a result of his injuries.
