Willis Raymond "Willie" Boyens of Lamont

Willis Raymond “Willie” Boyens, 82, of Lamont, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg. He was born on November 12, 1943, at home in Lamont, the son of Raymond and Esther (Finck) Boyens.

Willis worked as a farm hand for the Paris Family for over 59 years. The Paris family thought of him as their uncle and one of his many joys was playing with the Paris kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed driving tractor and going to tractor pulls.

Survivors include five siblings, John (Janet) Boyens of Davenport, Joyce Schuldt of Winthrop, Thelma Franks of Manchester, Grace Munson of Manchester, and Helen Milligan of Waterloo; many nieces and nephews; and his good friends, Joe and Linda Paris of Lamont.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alice Dorthea Boyens and Mary Ruth Shannon; four brothers-in-law, John Schuldt, Robert Franks, Donald Munson, and Jay “JC” Milligan.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa, with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point, Iowa. Friends may also call one hour before the funeral service on Wednesday.

Interment: Madison Cemetery, rural Aurora, Iowa
