An Oelwein man faces possession of meth and other charges after search warrant executed

Investigation Leads to Search Warrant - Arrest Made
At approximately 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, the Oelwein Police Department, executed a search warrant in the 2600 Block of South Frederick Avenue in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subject has been arrested and charged:
1) Robert Clarence Stewart, 61, of Oelwein
Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine- Class C Felony
Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana- Class D Felony
Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp- Class D Felony
Dominion/Control of Firearm, Offensive Weapon, or Ammunition- Class D Felony (two counts)
Harassment in the 1st Degree – Aggravated Misdemeanor
Harassment in the 3rd Degree- Simple Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance. Additional charges are pending, and this case is still under investigation. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
