Arlington man faces charges after weapons-related search

On 1-14-26, at approximately 10:50PM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office executed a weapons-related search warrant at 10736 cable Rd. Arlington, IA.  During the search of the residence, numerous firearms and a variety of ammunition were found and seized.  Cody Ray Smith, 39 of Arlington IA, was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Persons in Possession of Firearms, a Class D Felony.  Smith was taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where he awaited initial appearance.
