Barn Fire near Maynard sends huge clouds of smoke into the air

(Maynard, IA) -- A barn fire sends huge clouds of black smoke into the air on Monday morning. The barn in Maynard was fully engulfed in flames when fire officials arrived around 8:00 a.m. No people or animals were injured. The Maynard Fire Department was joined by the Westgate Fire Department, Fayette County Roads, REC Power Company and Smith Excavating to help extinguish the blaze.
