MONONA, Iowa — The Clayton County Development Group (CCDG) has been awarded a $3,500 grant to support strategic planning as the organization prepares for a leadership transition. The funding was made possible through Aureon's Ripple Effect program in partnership with Northeast Iowa Telephone Company (NEIT), which provided matching funds to maximize the community investment.
As CCDG prepares to welcome a new executive director in the summer of 2026 following the retirement of its current director, the grant will help fund a strategic planning process facilitated by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
The planning initiative will bring together the organization's nine-member board of directors, representing communities throughout Clayton County, to identify shared priorities, strengthen long-term goals, and develop a clear roadmap for the organization's future. The completed strategic plan will help guide the new executive director while supporting continued economic growth and community development across Clayton County.
"We're proud to partner with Aureon through the Ripple Effect program to invest in organizations that make a lasting impact on our communities," said Taylor Bockenstedt, Marketing Director at NEIT. "Strong local leadership and planning are essential to building vibrant rural communities, and we're excited to support Clayton County Development Group during this important transition."
