On August 6th, 2025, Clayton County deputies charged Jason Cottone (51) of Farmersburg with sex offender registration violation 2nd or subsequent offense. This arrest stems from Cottone failing to provide relevant information to the sex offender registry.

On August 9th, 2025, at approximately 2:00 AM, Clayton County deputies were called to assist the on-duty Guttenberg Police officer with a possible impaired driver on U.S. Highway 52 near Garber Road. After an investigation, deputies arrested David Kann (45) of Garber for operating while under the influence 1st offense.

On August 10th, 2025, Clayton County deputies received information from a social media search warrant that led to the arrest of Dustin Heinrichs (40) of Dubuque for violation of a no contact/protective order. This arrest stems from Heinrichs using a social media platform to communicate with the protected party.

On August 17th, 2025, at approximately 6:12 AM, Clayton County deputies were dispatched to the area of 32918 Kale Ave. for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, it was determined Dustin Lundt (29) of Guttenberg had been involved in a car versus horse crash at approximately 12:20 AM. Lundt’s vehicle, a blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, sustained totaling damage in the crash and no injuries were reported.

On August 21st, 2025, Clayton County deputies summoned Keith Hefel (68) of North Buena Vista for Criminal Mischief 4th degree. The summons stems from damage Hefel caused in a fire on April 29th, 2025.

On August 24th, 2025, at approximately 1:54 AM, Clayton County Deputies arrested Yoni Sarat-Gonzalez (20) of Postville for possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license barred, failure to provide proof of financial liability, possession of alcohol under the legal age, driving while license suspended, and speeding. This arrest stems from a traffic stop for excessive speed.
