The Coulee Coalition is actively seeking community volunteers to assist with the upcoming Point in-Time (PIT) Count of unsheltered individuals and families within our county. This bi-annual effort provides a snapshot of unsheltered individuals in our region at a specific time, informing critical funding allocations, services, and policy decisions across Wisconsin.
The PIT Count is scheduled to take place overnight hours of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, through early morning Thursday, July 24, 2025. Crawford County's planning committee will determine a more specific time within this window for our local effort, as the full duration is not typically required.
Volunteers will play an important role in surveying and documenting unsheltered individuals and families. Each volunteer team will be assigned a specific area and provided with training, clear instructions, and all necessary materials and forms. The official observation and survey forms - issued by the Wisconsin Balance of State Continuum of Care (WIBOSCOC) - are utilized to ensure consistent and accurate statewide reporting.
