Daniel Joseph Kintzle, 61, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on January 8, 1965, in Manchester, the son of Thomas and Verna (Clemen) Kintzle. Dan was raised and educated in the Greeley area and was a 1983 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School. He honorably served in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he farmed the family farm for over 20 years.
Dan was married to Debra Steger and four children were born to this union. The couple later divorced. Everyone knew how proud he was of his children. On April 21, 2018, Dan was united in marriage to Sheila Conrad in Greeley, where he received three bonus children. The couple resided near Delhi where Dan owned and operated Kintzle Trucking.
Dan and Sheila enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and traveling together. He was known for spending countless hours talking on the phone and feeding his “livestock” in the backyard. Dan especially loved his grandchildren and cherished spending time with his family. He always had his special stash of Oreos for the grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Kintzle of Delhi; children, Nicole (Joel) Miller of Marion, Keith (Stephanie) Kintzle of Manchester, Macey (Adam) Sheppard of Delhi, Bri (Brendan) Smith of Storm Lake, Toni (Tyler) McQuillen of Monticello, Danni (Derek) Shireman and Buck (Rachel) Finn, all of Cascade; 17 grandchildren, with one on the way; his parents, Tom and Verna Kintzle of Greeley; four siblings, Kathy (Harry) Wulfekuhle of Edgewood, Julie (Tim) Meese of Edgewood, Karla (Dan) Nefzger of Manchester, and Sara (TJ) Ries of Coggon; parents-in-law, Dan and Jackie Conrad; brothers-in-law, Pete (Diane) Conrad and Dale Stecklein; and many nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his niece, Anna “Mouse” Nefzger; nephews, Jordan Cabalka and Matthew Boland; and sister-in-law, Sandra Stecklein.
