Delaware County Authorities released information on a two-vehicle accident that occurred on April 29th at 10:30am. 69-year old Mark Alan Powers of Cedar Rapids was operating a 202 Ford F-150 southbound on Highway 13 when it crossed over the center line and into oncoming traffic. The Powers vehicle side-swiped a northbound 2007 Ford Sterling operated by 54-year old Brad Ronald Moris of Strawberry Point. Both vehicles received damage along with a utility trailer being pulled by the Powers vehicle. No injuries reported. Damage totaled 18-thousand dollars. Powers was charged with failure to yield half the roadway.
Delaware County Authorities released information on a single-vehicle accident that occurred on April 29th at 12:09pm on 215th Street. 18-year old Dane Maxwell Bolden of Cedar Rapids was operating a 2001 BMW northbound on Buchanon-Delaware road. Bolden lost control of his vehicle going around the corner. The vehicle rolled over and back on its wheels. Bolden was not injured and damage totaled three-thousand dollars. He was charged with failure to maintain control.
Delaware County Authorities released information on a minor car-deer accident. The accident occurred on May 1st at 6:39am. 43-year old Jason Daniel Groskurth of Cedar Rapids was operating a 2015 GM Sierra southbound on 145th Avenue when his vehicle hit a deer in the roadway. Groskurth was not injured and no charges were filed.
