Delaware County Authorities Issue Charges in Connection with Three Accidents
A Colesburg man is charged in connection with a one-vehicle accident in Delaware County. 29-year old Andrew David Oberbroeckling was charged with Failure to Maintain Control and Open Container. The accident occurred on September 7th at 1:36am. Authorities received a 9-1-1 call from the intersection of 115th Street and 300th Avenue. The caller then hung up and dispatch’s phone calls were not returned. A 2015 RAM 2500 was found in the ditch and unoccupied. Authorities determined that Oberbroeckling failed to negotiate a curve from 300th Avenue to 115th Street. As a result, the vehicle went into the north ditch and rested on it’s top. Oberbroeckling responded to Authorities on September 8th and was then charged in connection with the accident. No injuries reported and damage totaled 10-thousand dollars.
A Waterloo man was involved in a one-vehicle accident in Delaware County. 21-year old Christian Dean Ramirez was involved in the accident. Authorities Report that on September 4th at 1:40am, Ramirez was operating a 2011 Ford F350 on Highway 20. Authorities responded to a report that a pickup traveling westbound and was all over the roadway. They observed the pickup entering the ditch, where the vehicle struck an I-beam sign. The vehicle continued and eventually came to stop in a ditch near the banks of the Maquoketa River. Ramirez appeared to be intoxicated and he was transported to the Delaware County Jail. No injuries reported and damage totaled four-thousand dollars.
A Mason City man was charged in connection with a one-vehicle accident in Delaware County. 28-year old Blaine Anthony Moll was charged with Failure to Maintain Control, Open Container, and No Valid Drivers License. The accident occurred on September 12th at 6:30pm on Voyager Road. Moll was operating a 2016 Jeep Compass when it drove off the roadway and entered the south ditch. Moll made a number of attempts to get out of the ditch but the vehicle ended up at the bottom of the ditch along the fence. No injuries reported and damage totaled 12-thousand dollars.
