Delaware County Authorities release information on a number of arrest incidents

MEDIA RELEASE:

On Friday, March 27, 2026, at approximately 8:55 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Elijah James Brown, 21, of Cedar Rapids. Brown was charged with Failure to Affix Drug Stamp (Class D Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). This arrest was made after finding a vehicle on the side of the road on Highway 3 near 195th Avenue.

MEDIA RELEASE:

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at approximately 10:45 AM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies assisted the Iowa State Patrol with the arrest of Manuel Alejandro Castellanos Alvarado, 25, of Rockford, IL. The Iowa State Patrol charged Castellanos Alvarado with Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), Speeding (Simple Misdemeanor), and No Valid Drivers License (Simple Misdemeanor). This arrest was made on Highway 20 near Delaware.

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at approximately 9:00 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Dean Curtis Nightingale, 82, of Dundee, on an active Manchester Police Department warrant for Sexual Assault- No Injury (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and 8 counts of Indecent Exposure (Serious Misdemeanor).

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 8:30 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Rashida Ain Kelly, 36, of Rantoul, IL, on active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear. Kelly also received new charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense (Serious Misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop near the intersection of East Main Street and North Brewer Street in Manchester.

On Monday, March 30, 2026, at approximately 9:15 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Roger Joseph Eike, 57, of Lamont, on two active arrest warrants for Operating While Under the Influence 3rd or Subsequent Offense (Class D Felony) and Failure to Maintain Control (Simple Misdemeanor). These warrants were filed after a report of a vehicle in the ditch near the intersection of 210th Avenue and 245th Street on February 1, 2026.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at approximately 3:35 PM, Tessa Mae Andersen, 34, of Delaware, turned herself into the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office on an Iowa State Patrol active arrest warrant for Operating While Under the Influence (Serious Misdemeanor). This warrant was filed after a report of a two vehicle accident near the intersection of Highway 38 and Jefferson Street in Delaware on February 15, 2026.

On Friday, April 3, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Braxten Michael Fisher, 19, of Toddville, on an active arrest warrant for Failure to Appear.
