Delhi man escapes injury after his vehicle strikes a light pole

A Delhi man escaped injury after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole. 41-year old Derek Charles Harbach was operating a 2006 General Motors Yukon on Franklin Street in Delhi. on October 7th at 5:49pm. Harbach attempted to apply brakes to stop but the breaking system failed. Harbach turned the vehicle and towards a light pole in the Dehli City Park to stop from entering the intersection at Highway 38. Minimal damage was reported to the Harbach vehicle and the light pole received five-thousand dollars in damage. No injuries reported.
