On May 7, 2024 at approximately 2144 hours the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office along with Key West Fire, Bernard Fire, and La Motte Fire responded to 9111 Laudeville Rd for the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival personnel met with the Decker Family who reported returning home their residence was filled with smoke. The fire department was able to isolate the fire to the kitchen area and successfully extinguish the fire.
The residence and its contents inside sustained approximately $100,000 in damage. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, but does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
