Dyersville man injured in truck-tractor accident in Dubuque County

A Dyersville man suffered severe injuries after crashing into a tractor in Dubuque County Monday evening. A crash report from the Iowa State Patrol states that they responded to a two vehicle crash near Epworth on Highway 20 at 5:25 PM. The report states 64-year-old Dean Dettbarn was driving a Ford F150 westbound on the highway when his truck collided with the tractor. The tractor was pulling an anhydrous toolbar with an anhydrous tank. Dettbarn was transported to MercyOne Dubuque with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor, 25-yer-old Levi Pafb of Epworth was not injured. Iowa State Patrol is investigating the crash. The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office and Epworth Fire Department assisted at the scene.
