The Clayton Ridge Girls advanced into Round Number Two with a hard-fought 34-31 win over Central. Adelyn Helle led the Eagles with 16, including 13-in the second-half. Emery Ostrander scored 9 and Sophia Chmelar added 5. The Warriors were led by Blair Scherf with 10 and Oakley Armstrong contributed 6. Neither team led by more than five points in the game and the Eagles outscored the Warriors 11-8 in the final frame. Central ended up just 10 of 54(19-percent)from the field and 8 of 25(33-percent) from the free-throw line. The Eagles hit 14 of 46(26-percent) from the field and 9 of 16(56-percent) from the line. Clayton Ridge improves to 3 and 16. The Eagles play at Kee High on Tuesday night at 7pm. The Warriors close the season 8 and 14.
