February 14th Scores--Whalert Girls roll past North Fayette/Valley, 11-area Wrestlers advance to State!

The 4th Ranked Whalert Girls were impressive in a 71-19 Regional Quarterfinal win over North Fayette/Valley. Emily Tanney led the Golden Eagles with 24-points. Ruth Tauber and Lucy Lueken each added 12. North Fayette/Valley was led by Hannah Schroeder with 7 and Maddie Loftsgard scored 6. Whalert led 19-4 at the end of one and then put up 31-points in a dominate second quarter to lead 50-11 at the half and were on their way. Whalert is now 16 and 5, they will host Waukon on Wednesday Night at 7. The Indians topped Oelwein, 56-46 to advance. North Fayette/Valley closes the season at 6 and 16.
