February 16th Scores--Central Boys pull away late to top Starmont--Boys Tourney Scores are posted!

The Central Boys finished strong and advance into the District Semi-Final with a 66-48 win over Starmont. Four Warriors scored in double-figures. Mason Loan led Central with 18, including 16-in the opening half. Owen Hammersland scored 17, Jake Hertrampf added 11 and Griffen Hammersland contributed 10. Starmont was led by Noah Gelner with 15 and Dylan Popham scored 14. The Warriors led 34-30 at the half after Griffen Hammersland hit a three in the closing seconds of the half. They extended the lead to 45-37 heading into the fourth. Starmont pulled to within 51-45 but a 10-0 Warrior run put the game out of reach. Central is now 15 and 7 on the season. The Warriors go to 6th ranked Bellevue on Thursday night and play the Comets at 7pm. Bellevue advanced with an 87-37 win over North Cedar. Starmont closes the season at 12 and 11.
