Village of De Soto – Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reported that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Diego, assisted during a traffic stop in the Village of De Soto.
The driver was identified as Christine Busalacchi, 67, of Ferryville.
During the stop, K-9 Diego was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search resulted in the discovery of five separate bags containing approximately 33 grams of methamphetamine, several hundred dollars in cash, and ledgers believed to be associated with the sale and distribution of methamphetamine.
Busalacchi was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail. She has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver.
